Meeting started at 1200 UTC. Beforehand, T. Nagatsuma provided a Power Point presentation with the agenda.

2. Proposing method of near-real-time and archival intercalibration:

P. Jiggens: with H. Evans, drafting a presentation on intercalibration procedure. Provided a brief run through of draft; will distribute before next meeting, present it in detail at that meeting.

1. Proposing Work Plan to define GSICS deliverables:

H. Evans: in progress, will present at next meeting

3. Inform data level definitions in each organisation

To date, provided by ESA and NOAA.

Action (continued): To be provided by other organizations by next meeting.

Discussion of product levels: is anything to be learned from Meteorological products?

J. Andries: Not defined by WMO

Action: A. Monham to look into Eumetsat definitions.

2. Report from the members: No report this time

Discussion of additional members:

T. Nagatsuma: Have invited Ingmar Sandberg (SPARC) to join this group; did not send him invitation for this meeting. Will do so for next meeting.

J. Andries: Add Jesse Andries to the list of members representing WMO

H. Evans: add someone from ONERA e.g. Sebastian Bourdarie. One of original PRBEM Guideline authors. Also Paul O’Brien (Aerospace Corporation)? (another expert on cross-calibration)

J. Spann: NASA member is still not identified. Jim will follow up with Jamie Favors to identify representative.

4. Next meeting:

T. Hewison: Next year’s meeting of GSICS research groups is on March 11-15, 2024 at Eumetsat in Darmstadt. What are our plans? Coordinate with data working group?

Action: T. Nagatsuma to attend planning meeting in next couple of weeks.

T. Nagatsuma: Our next meeting: Nov 29 or Dec 6? A. Monham: Conflict with CGMS anomaly task group meeting on Nov 29. H. Evans: he and P. Jiggens have conflicts on Dec 5 and 6. Choose December 7 (Thursday).

J. Rodriguez to take over meeting invitation scheduling from A. Monham.
