Summary

The GSICS Procedure for Product Acceptance ( GPPA),desinged by Bob Iacovazzi at NOAA, has been a key element used in assigning maturity to GSICS products. Over the past several years, GPPA has been applied to several products that have made their way into acceptance in the GSICS. The GPPA was derived from QA4EO. In order to make GPPA more efficient and ensure faster maturity this meeting would propose modifications to GPPA.

This meeting would also be in fulfillment of an action item from the last annual meeting.

Action: GCC to take a lead in discussing the GPPA with GSICS members to reduce the amount of time needed to move through the phases
