Summary
Chengli Qi: Do you calculate other channels (e.g., absorption channels), in addition to window channels?
A: We only compute window channels.
Chengli: The window channels are not sensitive to the spectral shape. Maybe you can try other channels.
Tim Hewison: 1) spectral uncertainties - How about IRAS spectral uncertainties? 2) What is the function of your algorithms? 3) You include the uncertainty of reference HIRAS, how do you do that?
A: 1) 10 ppm for HIRAS 2) Show the slides for method and models: weighted regression 3) so many collocations on the same platform.
Dave Doeling: How do you check the time difference MERSI and IRAS?
A: He used the simulated data instead of the real data.
Dave Doeling: How about the angle angles? Does it cause uncertainties?
Tim comments that the time difference does cause the difference. Sometimes it causes systemic bias. But the random errors will be canceled out with large samples.
Likun Wang comments that the spectral response function does matters at window channels for inter-calibration purpose.
