2012 GSICS Users' Workshop

I am pleased to announce the 2012 GSICS Users' Workshop, which will again take place at the EUMETSAT Conference, but will also be broadcast live on the Internet for the first time.

The EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference will be held this year at Sopot, Poland, from 3-7 September. Further information on the conference (including travel and hotel) can be found at its website.

The GSICS Users’ Workshop will be held during one of the conference’s poster sessions on the Tuesday afternoon. (An additional conference poster session on the Thursday evening.)

GSICS Workshop Logistics:

• Tuesday 4 September 2012 at 1300-1800 CEST (UTC+2).
• In the Columbus C/D room at the Sheraton Hotel Conference Centre in Sopot, near Gdansk, Poland.
• We intent to mirror the whole meeting online, allowing remote presentations and viewing.
• There is a dedicated session on “Sensor Inter-Calibration for Climate Data Records” on the Wednesday morning.
• Registration for the EUMETSAT Satellite Conference is not a pre-requisite for attending the workshop.
• The workshop will include a poster session to showcase some of the good work related to inter-calibration that has been done during the last year or so.
